On Diving-activities there are, beside the daily standard-diving-trips, some Sweetwater caves-, wall-, night-and wrack-diving.
At the “Islas Ballenas”, 10 min. by boat from the diving base, you have deeps from 10 feet till 30 feet or 15 feet till 60 feet. It depend the diving-place. Around the “Islas Ballenas” there is the ideal place for beginners who just finished there Pool-lesson. It could be the beginning for a lot of great experiences.
But nevertheless, professional diver or specially the underwater-photographer, will have great dives there.
If somebody likes to dive deeper, there are places at the middle and outside reef with 60 to 120 feet deep. For sure the best diving place in the Dominican Republic is the day excursion to “Cabo Cabron”. Here we have deeps from 15 to 150 feet.
What you can see under water?
Many different kind of corals, colourful coral-fish, Snapper, Grouper, Barakudas, Morays and, and, and.
With a lot of luck you can see a Nurse Sharks or at the “Cabo Cabron” the Hammerhead.
